Can’t go to ALA Midwinter? Do you still want to be a part of the conversation? Join 2013 Library Journal Mover and Shaker and U-M Special Projects Librarian Emily Puckett Rodgers for discussion after viewing a free symposium on MOOCS, January 24, 2014.

As part of OCLC’s Americas Member Meeting, “The Hype and Hope of MOOCS” debate style symposium can be attended in-person in Philadelphia, in your office via live steam, or at an in-person Viewing Party in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The symposium will be held live at ALA Midwinter from 1-4 pm, EST, and will address the complex issues revolving around MOOCS, such as accreditation, measurement and what MOOCS may mean to Higher Education and lifelong learning.

You can register for free to view the symposium. There will be a moderated teleconference discussion about the symposium following the event.

You are welcome to join us for the live Viewing Party which will be held in the Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library lab, room 100 on the campus of the University of Michigan. There will be free pizza during the Viewing Party!

Please contact Heather Ladiski (at ladiskih@mcls.org) if you would like to register to attend the Viewing Party in person at U-M or if you would like to join the conversation via teleconference from the comfort of your office.
