•  Political Science       •  Psychology
•  Computer Science       •  Agriculture
•  Law       •  Mathematics
•  Economics       •  Language & Linguistics
•  History       •  Area Studies
•  Nutrition       •  Environmental Science

The Cambridge-MCLS group subscription offer includes:
  • Current content access, including at least 10 years of backfiles for most titles
  • Perpetual access to all package titles published during the term of the license

Libraries access the package via the Cambridge Journals Online (CJO) platform—custom-developed and hosted by Cambridge to continue their leadership in functionality and online delivery. Cambridge is committed to serving the academic community by staying at the forefront of online publishing technology, helping you serve your library's students, professors, and researchers.

Pricing for the Cambridge Journals Online Package is based on offering a significant discount off the value of the titles an institution gains by participating in the consortia agreement via MCLS. Rather than adding an arbitrary surcharge to the value of the titles to which you already subscribe, Cambridge believes it makes more sense to pair what you pay with what you get. Therefore, Cambridge simply converts all 2012 subscriptions to their 2013 online-only list price and applies a 95% discount to all titles gained in the package. This model provides a straightforward account of every penny spent and gives you manageable cost-per-title figures.

The standard license agreement runs for a 3-year period with a capped annual increase of 5%. Each year, Cambridge will reconcile your library's titles. You will be asked if your library has existing subscriptions for newly-acquired CUP titles. These will be added to your base price. Your cost will also be reduced for any titles CUP no longer offers, based on those journals' previously-charged price. All adjustments will be clearly presented in a spreadsheet for each renewal. Cambridge's ultimate goal for this process is complete transparency, with no unexplained charges and no surprises!

Subscriptions run annually, January through December. Contact us at for quotes, questions, or signup. Advance quotes are available for 2014-start access, too!
