Kristin Meyer is the User Experience Librarian at the Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons at Grand Valley State University Libraries. In her current role, she leads a User Experience Team of staff and student employees, manages the single service desk, and works on a variety of projects aimed at better understanding and improving user experience, primarily within the physical library. Before working at GVSU, she worked for Kent District Library for eleven years. She is particularly interested in user experience, space design, and cultivating a culture of innovation.
Michelle Boisvenue-Fox is currently the Director of Innovation and User Experience at Kent District Library. She earned her professional degree from the University of Illinois in 1999 and holds a Certification in Public Library Administration from ALA, which was completed in 2010. She has been with KDL for 13 years in a variety of positions. Previously Michelle worked in public and academic libraries in Oregon.
Public and academic library user experience practitioners will share an introductory look at the tools of the trade along with inside knowledge of Design concepts used in other industries. Learn how to adapt and apply these concepts to improve the spaces and services of your library.
