Mahasin Martinson

Mahasin Martinson currently works for the Indianapolis Public Library in the IT Department. Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Mahasin has been a lifelong patron of public libraries. She has volunteered and worked in public libraries for over fifteen years. In May 2016, Mahasin completed her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science at IUPUI, having served as both chief information officer and president for the Association of Library and Information Science Students IUPUI chapter. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Civic Leadership from IUPUI.  Areas of interest within the field include comparative librarianship, millennial engagement in libraries and under-represented populations.

Description

Are you interested in utilizing current and emerging technology to improve the experiences of your patrons? In this two-hour webinar you will gain insight on the latest trends including tablet apps, augmented reality and robotics that will keep patrons of all ages engaged.

This class will be online using WebEx online workshop software. All registered attendees will receive an email with WebEx login information a few days prior to the class date.

Registration Information

It is highly recommended that all registrants register for this workshop at least SEVEN DAYS PRIOR to the workshop date. If you register after that, you must additionally send an email to training@mcls.org stating that you have registered past the deadline. You will receive a general email confirmation immediately upon successfully registering for this workshop. All registered attendees will receive an additional email with WebEx login information approximately one week prior to the 1st class date. If you do not receive an invitation to the meeting by noon of the day prior, please email training@mcls.org.

Technical Information

You must connect using a high-speed wired internet connection (not wireless).

Microphones are not required but your computer will need speakers and a sound card to hear the audio via VoiceOver IP.
