Expired: Register now for the Cambridge Open Equity Initiative webinar on Feb. 6

Cambridge University Press is committed to investing in the future of Open Research. As the Journals program shifts to Open Access, a growing challenge is the cost barrier for authors publishing without funding. In response, they created the Cambridge Open Equity Initiative (COEI), a new program to financially support OA publishing for authors based in low- and middle-income countries in partnership with institutions around the world.?  

Join MCLS on Feb. 6 from 2-2:30 p.m. Eastern (1-1:30 p.m. Central) for more information about the COEI program and its impact. Topics covered will include background and aims of the program, how institutions can participate, and impact of the program in 2023 and 2024.

DOAJ webinar follow-up 

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a unique, growing index of about 21,000 diverse open access journals whose services and metadata are embedded in libraries across the world. On October 10, MCLS hosted a webinar with DOAJ Community Manager & Ambassador Ivonne Lujano with the purpose of sharing more about how DOAJ works with researchers, libraries, and organizations worldwide to provide services and indexing. EBSCO introduces new literature resource: LitBase

MCLS members have direct URL and Login Credentials to access a LitBase trial. LitBase is a world literature database with a modern search experience. A curated collection of critical primary texts and secondary sources, it supports research of the most studied authors, poetry, fiction, plays, and creative nonfiction worldwide.
