MCLS provides training and continuing education opportunities to library staff as well as providing certificates of library staff development.
For a list of workshops currently scheduled, or to register for a workshop, visit Workshop and Event Registration.
Some sessions are in person, but most sessions are conducted using Zoom, an online conferencing system that allows you to view live presentations from your desktop. For these sessions, audio is provided through your computer's speakers.
MCLS strives to provide library employees with knowledge about current technology and trends affecting the world of libraries. In keeping with this goal, MCLS is always looking to expand the catalog of training opportunities that we provide for our members.
Do you have a great idea that you would like to see become a workshop? Fill out the MCLS New Workshop Proposal form and email it to training@mcls.org.
Is there a topic you are interested in that is not currently covered? Send an email to training@mcls.org and let us know. We can let you know when the next offering of a course will be and if we receive enough interest in a course, we will try to schedule a session sooner. We also use your input to help guide our course semester development.
Whether it be teaching one of our current workshops and/or developing new programs, we would love to hear from you. Fill out the MCLS Instructor Application and email it to training@mcls.org.
