Established in 1851 at the founding of the University of Minnesota, the Board of Regents is the University's governing board. Regents articulate a vision for the University and work to ensure the University of Minnesota fulfills its mission of education, research, and outreach for the benefit of the people of Minnesota, the nation, and the world.
MCLS is a member of the University of Minnesota's Center for Open Education's
Open Education Network (OEN), which is governed by the Regents of the University of MN.
MCLS members have access to an OEN Allied Membership through this arrangement.

Open Education Network (OEN) Allied Membership
A recognized leader in helping academic institutions advocate and advance open at their colleges and universities, OEN utilizes a proven program to engage with faculty in the review and development of open education textbooks. Allied membership in OEN connects libraries to the resources and services of OEN and allows libraries to work directly with OEN. Allied membership is open to MCLS members through the MCLS consortial membership in OEN.

· Access to OEN Data Dashboard (used to manage and track OEN training and activity)
· Participation in a OEN Community of Practice and Community Hub
· Participation in the OEN Summit and the OEN Publishing Cooperative
