MLC invites you to the grand opening of our new virtual building in the 3-D virtual reality, Second Life (Cybrary City II 167,51,21)! The celebration is on Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 4:00-6:00pm SL time (NOTE! That’s 7:00pm-9:00pm EDT). Please join us in Second Life for virtual music, dancing and refreshments!

Here’s a panoramic view of our new building and garden.

The picture below is a view of our first floor meeting area with comfy seating. This area is set up to accommodate several people for meetings or training sessions. There is also another training area on the second floor with a large screen to show PowerPoints and other graphics.

Also located on the first floor (not pictured) are information areas for Member Services and MeL services.

The picture below is a view of our second floor reference desk, located next to our upstairs training and display area. The large screens on the second floor can be used for training or for slideshow displays.

The picture below is a view of our rooftop dance floor and hot tub. After a long day of training or meetings, come up to the roof to relax and chat with other MLC members and librarians from around the globe!
