MLC’s party last night in Second Life was a big success, thanks to Evette Atkin who planned and hosted the event. Many people attended, including librarians from Marshall District Library, Library of Michigan, University of Michigan, and University of Detroit Mercy – very nice to see local librarians there, as well as others from around the U.S. and Canada!

The party began with chatting first in the garden and then on the rooftop – food, dancing and hot tub – and concluded with Evette leading a group on a tour of the new building. We heard some great ideas from folks about possibilities for libraries in Second Life.
