At the board meeting on August 17, 2011, the MCLS Board accepted the Nominating Committee’s  proposed slate of candidates for the five open seats on the 2012 Board.  The following slate will be presented to the membership for approval this fall:

Academic/Indiana – Janet Fore, Library Director Cushwa-Leighton Library, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana

School/Michigan – Margaret Lincoln, Lakeview District Librarian, Lakeview High School Library and Lakeview Middle School Library, Battle Creek, Michigan

Research/Michigan – Bryan Skib, Associate University Librarian for Collections University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, Michigan

Special/Indiana – Patricia A. Lunsford, Medical Librarian, Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health, Lafayette, Indiana

At-Large/Michigan – Lise Mitchell, Director, Chippewa River District Library System (CRDL), Mount Pleasant, Michigan

Electronic voting to approve the slate of candidates will be conducted this fall.  Member Representatives should expect to receive an email with directions on how to vote in mid-September.  Voting will be done using an online survey form over a two-week period (no teleconference voting).  The election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on October 6, 2011.
