Removing Barriers: A Library Accessibility Workshop
Equality in access for every member of your community is a core library value and it can be challenging to satisfy all of the needs of your patrons. This workshop will cover important aspects of library accessibility and provide you with new tools to help serve all patrons equally. Topics include:
- Designing new buildings and renovating older ones
- Overcoming barriers to access in collections and programming
- Advocating for disabled patrons
- Providing access to websites and online materials
- Complying with ADA legal requirements
