July 5 marks a new beginning for MCLS: it is the date when MCLS goes live with ConsortiaManager as its subscription management system. Over the past several months, MCLS staff members have been busy preparing for this transition, getting data ready to migrate, learning to navigate ConsortiaManager, and communicating with our members about the change.
The current system used at MCLS for subscription management, MemberBuild, was shut down at 5pm on Friday, June 17. There will be no renewal or subscription renewal activity during the June 17-July 5 down time. On Tuesday, July 5, all MCLS renewal contacts will receive an email from ConsortiaManager, prompting you to set-up a ConsortiaManager log-in. Please note invoices will still be accessed via the MemberBuild system.
All renewal contacts are invited and encouraged to attend the ConsortiaManager training session on Wednesday, July 13, 11am-noon Eastern (10-11am Central). Conducted by CM staff, this training will be recorded and made available to members. A second live session will take place in September. This is your opportunity to see how CM works and learn from a system expert. MCLS staff will be in the session as well. Register today!
We are excited about ConsortiaManager and, of course, are mindful of the changes and adjustments it will require for all of us, MCLS members and staff. We look forward to working together to improve our service to you. MCLS staff will be available during the down period to answer any questions you may have. We can be reached at services@mcls.org or (800) 530-9019 ext 401.
