As MCLS prepares to embark on a strategic planning process in 2023, we will engage with the library community in Indiana and Michigan through a series of Community Conversations and one-on-one interviews.
These Community Conversations are based on engagement tools from The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation and are designed to take between 90 minutes and two hours for up to 12 people. The conversations give participants an opportunity to reflect on and describe what their aspirations for the library community are, and then more deeply explore the concepts shared. This engagement process is an opportunity to hear from the library community throughout Indiana and Michigan about their aspirations and concerns, which will help inform future priorities of MCLS.
We will facilitate 12 virtual Community Conversations via Zoom between Feb. 6 and 18 at a variety of times. The Conversations are open to any library staff in all types of libraries in Indiana and Michigan. More information including dates and registration details will be coming soon!
