Product updates spotlight: Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source by EBSCO

A new EBSCO product, Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source, will soon be available. On July 1, 2025, subscribers of Nursing Reference Center Plus, Rehabilitation Reference Center, Social Work Reference Center and Nutrition Reference Center will be transitioned to this new product, unless another product has been discussed with the EBSCO account team. This product aims to update the user experience, while maintaining the guided navigation experience and providing one comprehensive resource for customers in the academic market. It was built to prepare students for their future as a member of a patient care team in various disciplines.

An opt-in period for the new Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source will begin on April 15, 2025. This allows customers to familiarize themselves with the new features and user experience while remaining functionalities will be released.

The Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source will shift focus from customers in the medical market to customers in the academic market. With this change, some functionality geared towards clinicians will be removed, including:

  • The ability to add workplace notes to nursing content
  • Patient education
  • Continuing Education modules
