Bloomsbury Digital Resources is launching a sale on Screen, Sound, and Food resources this fall

Nov 3, 2025 | Special Offer

Through Nov. 30, 2025, MCLS members can save an additional 10% on all collections included on the Screen StudiesBloomsbury Music & Sound, and Bloomsbury Food Library platforms. Multi-module discounts still apply, and the extra 10% is in addition to the multi-module discounts (ex: if you purchase 5+ collections by Nov. 30, you will receive 30% off, rather than 20% off).

In addition, Bloomsbury is hosting a live demonstration to showcase the unique functionality and content offerings of its Music & Sound platform:

Music Resources That Resonate: A Sonic Journey into Bloomsbury Music & Sound
Join us on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. Eastern (10 a.m. Central) to explore the Bloomsbury Music & Sound platform, featuring Ethnomusicology, Sound Studies, and Popular Music collections—ideal for music, media, and cultural studies programs.

Snag discounts on Science Direct eBooks from Elsevier

We’re pleased to partner with Elsevier to support collection development needs and achieve savings on Science Direct eBooks, Reference Works, and eTextbooks. See here for more information about volume discounts, as well as subject collection and title lists.

Are you interested in an evidence-based acquisitions model? Elsevier also offers their EBS (Evidence-Based Selection) program.

How it works

  1. The library receives access to all eBooks included in the 2025 S&T Frontlist, plus four years of Backlist content (2024–2021), at a significantly reduced rate.
  2. At the end of the 12-month access period, the library selects which titles to purchase and retain in perpetuity, based on evidence-based usage and up to the value of the initial investment. Titles are purchased at list price. The library also has the option to continue EBS access with an agreed-upon increase.

Pricing varies by institution. For a customized quote or more information, contact services@mcls.org  or 517-939-1382.
