Learn about new Mango Languages features on Oct. 16

Oct 1, 2025 | Special Offer

Join us on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. Eastern (10 a.m. Central) on Zoom for a webinar featuring Mango Languages.

Dave Victorson, founder of ASL Inside, will present for 15-20 minutes. Additionally, Brittney Oliveira, Public Library Customer Success Manager at Mango Languages, will talk about how they support homeschoolers and ESL students for 15-20 minutes. And Cruz Pardo, Senior Account Manager at Mango Languages, will go over some new features and functionalities for 15-20 minutes.

Dave Victorson co-founded ASL Inside with his wife, Missy Keast, when DVDs were new. More than 20 years later, ASL Inside is going strong with Dave and Missy still at the helm. Dave spends his time strategizing what the future of ASL education will look like (stay tuned!) and Missy creates the content.

Brittney Oliveira is a dedicated Public Library Customer Success Manager and a content developer for Little Pim at Mango Languages. She holds a master’s degree in Elementary Education (MEd) and a B.A. in History. With a passion for languages, Brittney has developed proficiencies in four languages: English, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. In her role, she collaborates closely with library clients to promote the accessibility of language learning in communities nationwide.

Cruz Pardo has been with Mango Languages for over four years and has over 11 years of experience working at a community library in Northern Michigan. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is currently learning French. Cruz believes that libraries are the heart of every community and is passionate about working with libraries to promote the importance of language learning.

This webinar will be recorded and shared with registrants.

Snag discounts on Science Direct eBooks from Elsevier

We’re pleased to partner with Elsevier to support collection development needs and achieve savings on Science Direct eBooks, Reference Works, and eTextbooks. See here for more information about volume discounts, as well as subject collection and title lists.

Are you interested in an evidence-based acquisitions model? Elsevier also offers their EBS (Evidence-Based Selection) program.

How it works

  1. The library receives access to all eBooks included in the 2025 S&T Frontlist, plus four years of Backlist content (2024–2021), at a significantly reduced rate.
  2. At the end of the 12-month access period, the library selects which titles to purchase and retain in perpetuity, based on evidence-based usage and up to the value of the initial investment. Titles are purchased at list price. The library also has the option to continue EBS access with an agreed-upon increase.

Pricing varies by institution. For a customized quote or more information, contact services@mcls.org  or 517-939-1382.
