In March, MCLS will host a series of three in-person World Café Conversations for Indiana librarians. These meetings have been scheduled in the northern, central, and southern parts of the state, and each one will last about two and a half hours. We hope you can join us!
The process used for facilitating these conversations is based on The World Cafe method of civic dialogue. Our purpose is to gain knowledge of and identify barriers to library services in Indiana and to devise strategies and solutions to begin to overcome those barriers.
We need input from libraries of all types, sizes, and geographic areas to make this effort an authentic representation of Indiana libraries. Please consider joining us and sharing your thoughts, challenges, and hopes in breaking down barriers to library services in our communities. You do not have to be an expert. We want you to speak openly and candidly from your experience and point of view.
The dates, times, and locations are listed below. All library staff are welcome. This method of dialogue is open to large numbers of participants, so multiple attendees from your library system are welcome! Up to 50 participants will be accepted per conversation, and registration is free and open on a “first come, first served” basis. A waiting list will be kept.
