In this two-day series led by Sara Laughlin, retired director of Monroe County Public Library and veteran planning consultant, library staff learned and practiced do-it-yourself tools you can use to create their own plan. They were highly interactive sessions and Sara coached and advised participants throughout the process.

- Learn market research tools and use at least one to identify community needs
- Develop exciting mission and vision statements for your library
- Create customer-focused, future-oriented goals, objectives, activities, and outcome measures
