Michigan librarian, Kevin Smith, from the Cass District Library is experimenting with video podcasting on his blog. He’s using Podomatic. See his first video podcasting test on Podmatic here.
I’m looking forward to seeing what Kevin does with video podcasting for his library. What are the rest of you doing? Please let us know!

Some libraries are going beyond podcasts with “vodcasts” (video podcasts). Check out Orange County Library System’s vodcasts. OCLS (Florida) is using vodcasts to show clips from recent library programs. What a great way to showcase what the library has done and to entice residents to attend upcoming programs!
Are any libraries in Michigan doing vodcasts yet? Please post a comment below and share the URL for your vodcasts – or any other cool technology your library is using. Thanks!
