The Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) is pleased to announce that two new libraries are migrating in March to Michigan Evergreen, our shared open-source ILS project. The Darcy Library of Beulah will go live on March 17, and Barryton Public Library will go live on March 18. Both libraries are migrating from NuGen systems.
“Congratulations to library directors Marcia Laughlin at Barryton and Anne Damm at Beulah for working with their library boards to make the decision to switch to Evergreen,” said Randy Dykhuis, MCLS Executive Director. “We at MCLS are very pleased to see these two libraries joining the project.”
MCLS staff Evette Atkin, Megan Dudek, and Debbi Schaubman are working with the Grand Rapids Public Library and with Equinox Software, Inc., to convert and migrate the libraries’ records to the Michigan Evergreen shared catalog. In addition to migrations, MCLS staff are responsible for providing training and support to the Michigan Evergreen libraries.
The Michigan Evergreen project is open to other libraries who wish to join the shared catalog. To schedule a demo of Michigan Evergreen at your library, please contact 800-530-9019 Evette Atkin (ext. 152), Megan Dudek (ext. 153), or Debbi Schaubman (ext. 113).
