This immersive 2 ½ day conference offers librarians an opportunity to learn about current research advancements in science. It will explore key concepts and research in Great Lakes Aquatic Ecosystems, Genomics and Medical Chemistry. The Great Lakes Science Boot Camp will strive to cultivate an ongoing learning community of academic librarians dedicated to providing research support to faculty and graduate students. Read more >>
“Media Coaching for Librarians” will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Westfield Washington Public Library. Presented by communications consultant, Rick Hightower, this will be an interactive workshop including a panel of reporters and journalists. Registration for this event is open until March 3rd.

MCLS is pleased to announce that Nancy Kirkpatrick, formerly the Director of the Hackelmeier Memorial Library at Marian University in Indianapolis, IN, is our newest team member. Nancy is the new Assistant Manager for Member Services. Nancy comes to us with both an MLS and a JD. Her education and experience will be a valuable addition to the MCLS team and an asset to our members. Welcome, Nancy!
The University Libraries at Grand Valley State University, in cooperation with MCLS, is excited to host Re-think it: Libraries for a new age. The conference will be held at Grand Valley State University and the new Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons from August 10-12, 2015.

Doody’s Review Service (DRS) provides access to bibliographic information on over 140,000 titles in 140 specialties in clinical medicine, nursing, allied health, basic science, and other health-related disciplines. The DRS website has other features including a search engine, a list manager, and direct links to content from the books at Google Book Search. Read more >>
Doody’s Core Titles consists of access to the bibliographic information on around 2,100 titles chosen by approximately 100 content specialists and 125 medical librarians as the core titles in 121 specialties in the health sciences. Subscribers can search the list using a search engine and print and export subsets of the list. Read more >>
