Strategic Planning

Where your organization's next chapter begins

Strategic planning works best when it's built with your people — not handed down to them. We guide organizations through a customizable, highly participative process that surfaces community insight, builds on shared strengths, and translates big ideas into a clear, actionable path forward.

Our experienced facilitators bring a relationship-centered approach to every engagement — creating the conditions for honest conversation, meaningful participation, and plans your team will actually own and act on.

Whether you're navigating growth, change, or a pivotal moment in your mission, we'll help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Our Process

Knowledge Gathering

Understanding your community and organization is the foundation of meaningful strategic planning. In this phase, we look both outward and inward — gathering input from the community while also capturing staff perspectives, board priorities, and organizational data to build a complete picture.

For community engagement, we use methods and tools to gather "public knowledge," capture broader input on library services, technology use, and emerging trends directly from community members and leaders.

We also help you understand data trends for your community and library by examining library usage over a five-year period, demographic trends, and benchmarking with state and national peer libraries.

We compile all findings into a summary of current conditions. Together, these give your committee a clear, grounded picture of where your library stands and where your community needs it to go.
