RIDES

RIDES is Michigan’s statewide library courier service.

Great staff days do more than fill a calendar — they energize teams, build skills, and spark new ways of thinking.
Your staff are your library's greatest asset, and investing in their growth pays dividends for your entire organization and the community it serves. We partner with you to design professional development workshops that are engaging, interactive, and relevant to the work your staff does every day. Through experiential learning and collaborative activities, participants leave with practical skills and fresh perspectives they can put to use right away. All workshops can be customized in length between three and six hours to fit your team's needs, goals, and schedule.

When individuals and teams thrive, organizations are more resilient, more engaged, and better equipped to serve their communities with energy and purpose.
Wellbeing in the workplace is about far more than relaxation techniques or occasional self-care reminders. The science is clear — wellbeing has a profound impact on how we think, connect, communicate, and perform at work, and investing in it is one of the most meaningful things an organization can do for its people.
Our wellbeing workshops are grounded in neuroscience and evidence-based practices that go beyond surface-level strategies to address the real conditions that support thriving individuals and healthy workplace cultures. While we are not counselors or wellbeing specialists, we bring a deep understanding of what the research tells us about human performance, connection, and resilience — and translate that knowledge into practical, accessible tools and conversations that staff and leaders can apply in their everyday work.
Wellbeing at Your Library: It Starts with “Us”
Every one of us navigates struggle — it's a natural part of life and work. But in today's challenging and uncertain times, stress can quietly erode the resilience individuals and teams need to do their best work and show up fully for their colleagues and the communities they serve. Research tells us that a positive, supportive work environment makes a meaningful difference, leading to staff who are more engaged, creative, and resilient both at work and in life. This interactive workshop draws on neuroscience and evidence-based practices to help participants understand what happens when stress threatens resilience — and begin making small, sustainable shifts in their thinking and wellbeing practices that restore balance and build the inner resources needed to thrive.
